Sipsey Wilderness / Bankhead

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to do some hiking in Bankhead National Forest.  Had to cross a stream about 20 feet wide to get to this waterfall.  Yes, the water was cold but it was worth it and I hope to get back there some more this spring.

Chattanooga Silhouettes

Here we have the silhouettes of two people fishing on a pier on the Tennessee River.  As the photo may suggest, the kid was really playing while the other was fishing.  Even though the overall picture is dark, I've always felt the picture portrayed happiness.

Chattanooga Railroad

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga has some great events year-round.  Of course, it's always a good time to ride on a train.  This shot was taken as the train was pulling into the depot.

Not Katrina

I took this photo last fall in Gulf Shores, AL.  This is what's left of the state fishing pier after Hurricane Ivan came through in 2004.  Maybe some Hollywood celebrities could go down and help them rebuild it.

Happy Valentine's Day!

So yes, you can also find this image on my website portfolio but it just seemed appropriate for today so I had to put it on here.
Here's an image that I need to include in my landscape portfolio.  It was taken in Colorado - Rabbit Ears Pass if I'm not mistaken.  Makes me want a BMW 5 speed.  One day I'm going to do an entire project on curvy roads.  I'll find some others I've taken and get them on here also.

Just getting started with the whole blogging thing so I will keep it short and just post a picture.
